Our forward-thinking Competitive Intelligence team within Business Unit Marketing is charged with enabling our Sales teams and Partner ecosystem with the competitive knowledge, tools and expertise needed to expand our share in the market. The competitive intelligence team is made up of subject matter experts, competitive strategists, competitive marketing and program managers, all working together to bring market news, competitor insights, go to market strategies and deep technical expertise to our sales enablement activities. Role Overview There are very few roles with this level of visibility and impact across Dell Technologies. At the core of this role is the ability to understand technical and business-level competitive analysis and then turn it into high-impact competitive intelligence content. The content developed will help to fuel successful go-to-market and sales acceleration. In order to be successful, you will need to be extremely collaborative across our internal and external organization, an effective communicator and presenter, be able to simplify and communicate very complex topics/ideas. Key Responsibilities Coordinate all competitive intelligence activities across the marketing organization for a particular market segment (Client, Storage, Cloud, etc.) Create competitive assets including battle cards, blogs, social media content, customer facing documents, internal communications, and more, to articulate our competitive positioning, messaging and product strategy Align with core marketing stakeholders, such as Product Marketing, Market Intelligence, Campaign and Field Marketing, to embed competitive content into relevant marketing activities and programs Develop and deliver sales enablement material to help improve overall sales effectiveness and performance Support product launches and influence messaging by providing competitive insights Collaboration Across Dell Technologies Product Marketing to build competitive messaging into all launch material, messaging and internal enablement Campaign Marketing to build competitive content into all marketing activities globally Field Marketing to support all go to market programs with competitive content Communications to ensure all competitive messaging is consistent with Dell corporate messaging Legal to substantiate and gain legal approval for customer facing competitive assets Communication Represents the Competitive Intelligence team to all other areas of Marketing as well as other Sales, Business Unit, and other functions in the company Ability to communicate recommendations to peers/management in a clear, concise and impactful way Present competitive content and training to Sales teams as required Interface with all levels including the executive management team as well as external customers and partners, press and industry analysts Desirable Requirements 5 years Marketing or relevant experience, Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing; MBA preferred 3 years of experience in Server Network and/or marketing strategy (Integrated Products is a plus) Experience using internal data sources as well as research to develop simple and effective communications and messaging for complex topics Knowledge of marketing communication channels (social media, digital media) and how to effectively craft a message for high impact across each medium In-depth knowledge of the market, market trends, strong understanding of technical product capabilities, and business outcomes from those capabilities Benefits We offer highly competitive salaries, bonus programs, world-class benefits, and unparalleled growth and development opportunities — all to create a compelling and rewarding work environment.
