The Decision Sciences and Transformation (DSaT) department is seeking a highly motivated Data Governance Technical Supervisor to join the Data Governance Team. This team will be responsible for enabling effective use of data on our Enterprise Data Platform through the building of a Data Catalog which includes Data Dictionaries, Lineage, and Profiling to enhance the understanding and applicability of data for the business. This position will partner with Business and IT Stewards to drive continuous improvement of our metadata management capabilities, processes, and outcomes to ensure data trustworthiness and break down silos to finding and understanding data. Qualifications: 3 to 5 years of experience in an IT leadership position OR experience with managing critical projects? Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban and ability to manage project outcomes with Agile? Significant experience supporting production applications and operationalizing mission critical applications? Strong critical thinking, decision making, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills? Experienced in developing associates by providing coaching, feedback and mentoring? Outstanding time management skills and attention to detail? Ability to support multiple projects simultaneously, manage change and work in a fast-paced environment? Passion to innovate and provide solutions for challenges encountered? Preferred prior experience leading data governance projects Knowledge and prior experience with Data Governance Applications (IBM Stewardship Center, Informatica Data Governance, SAP Master Data Governance, Collibra) BA/BS in Information Technology, a related field (business, finance, mathematics, computer science), or equivalent work experience LI-AA1 DI-AA Note: The safety of our associates, both current and future, is GEICO’s highest priority.
