Company Info: YJP (Young Jewish Professionals) is seeking an Event Associate to join our Finance team. YJP s mission is to enrich and cultivate the next generation of Jewish business leaders here in New York through networking and mentorship opportunities. For more information on YJP please visit . Job overview: Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, as an Event Associate you will assist with all aspects of YJP s Finance community. You will be responsible for planning and executing the content of monthly events, driving revenue through sponsorship, membership, and ticket sales, and fostering a community of young Jewish professionals in Finance. For the foreseeable future all YJP events are taking place online but in-person events will resume as soon as it is safe to do so. Duties include: Plan and execute monthly events (includes speakers/moderators, attendees, and content – we have an internal team of event coordinators who are responsible for all venue/catering/logistical details for in-person events) Confirm high-quality speakers for upcoming events Continually learn about the Finance industry and keep up with industry news Formulate marketing & communications strategies for events (includes email campaigns, social media, press releases, etc.) and work with our content/design team to execute Ensure that revenue targets are met for each event through ticket sales and sponsorship (training will be provided on our sponsorship process) Identify and contact appropriate attendees/potential members for each event to participate as Co-Chairs, Host Committee members, and/or ticket purchasers. Use personal knowledge of the industry and our member/sponsor base to make appropriate connections when possible and assist members/sponsors with their goals. Additional projects/duties may be assigned by Senior Leadership as needed. Desired Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication Research/Fact-Checking Ability and willingness to take initiative/self-starter attitude Ability to learn and problem-solve independently Extreme organization/attention to detail Creative/Innovative mindset Prior knowledge of and/or experience with the Finance Industry is a plus Must be comfortable pitching and discussing pricing options with potential members/sponsors/attendees Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree and/or Equivalent Work Experience Fundraising/sales experience is a plus Familiarity with the Jewish calendar and traditions is a plus This position is full-time and remote.
