AWS Professional Services Practice Development team is looking for a world class Product Manager with multi-industry solutions experience to support the creation, launch and adoption of the industry vertical and use-case centric customer journeys and associated offerings with the AWS Professional Services team. Experience in industries such as Financial Services, Manufacturing, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Energy, Retail/Consumer Products, Automotive, Media & Entertainment, High Tech, etc. are essential to define industry solutions. The ideal candidate possesses a mix of professional services, product management and industry solutions experience. You have strong verbal and written communication skills and will write Amazonian narratives (6-pagers, 1-pagers), define requirements, develop sales enablement materials, and present at training sessions. Qualified candidates will have demonstrated business acumen and experience in leading industry value definitions, product management lifecycle including launch planning and adoption management. This role requires working closely with the ProServe Industry Vertical and Specialty Practice Leaders and Cross-AWS Field teams to define strategy, requirements, and a plan to create industry vertical journey maps and associated use-case centric offerings and help drive portfolio adoption during the sales and delivery stages. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Define and document an Industry Customer Journey Maps plan: Work backwards from Customer requirements. How do we define a Customer Journey Map within an Industry/Vertical? How we do we connect customer outcomes to the Journey Map and a set of packaged offerings? What are the values to customers and sellers leveraging the Journey Maps? Perform adoption analysis and refine. · Document Measurement Approach: Define specific metrics to measure adoption including regional, practice-centric, industry/use-case centric etc. · Journey Map Evaluation: Work closely with sales, practices, delivery and other teams to understand what’s working and not working with defined journeys. Provide continuous feedback to the portfolio management process to help make adjustments and right trade-offs. · Drive innovation through creative ideas for marketing ProServe Journey Maps and Portfolio, and enabling sales teams through facilitation of experiments/pilots. Expertise · Collaborate with AWS ProServe Industry/Vertical Teams, AWS Business Development Industry Teams, Global Industry and Technical Specialty Practice Teams, Field Sales teams, Training Teams, etc., to seek to understand our customer’s needs, their business, how success is defined, and ensure that we are exceeding expectations in delivering the industry/vertical journey maps and use-case centric Offerings. · Experience leveraging formal product management and project management methodologies to drive this initiative. · Possesses a strong knowledge of multiple industry scenarios, business drivers and solutions and apply them into building prescriptive journey maps and use-case centric solutions with the broader teams within ProServe. · Understanding of technology principles and services including infrastructure, business applications, data management, security, application platforms and consumer facing technology. Product Management · Plan, organize, and manage all phases of a product management lifecycle to ensure successful delivery. This includes developing and managing governance plans, project schedules, team goals, defining success criteria, project milestones, and budgets. · Plays an active role in managing project goals and driving teams to achieve customers’ business outcomes by managing issues, risks, decisions, and action items. · Ability to take ownership, work under pressure and meet deadlines on time. · Works effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities. Teaming · Proven success in working with teams and executive leadership in a complex, global company environment. · Team player who effectively integrates, motivates and builds relationships with cross-functional team members (local or remote), sponsors, key stakeholders, executives, and other individuals or organizations involved with or affected by the project. · Proven experience working in a matrix environment, managing multiple stakeholders. · Excellent people management skills, including the ability to influence, negotiate and achieve results through others who are not direct reports. This role requires about 30% of travel time for meetings and other discussions including some customer facing discussions. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: · BS degree in computer science or equivalent relative discipline · 10 years’ experience in product management/marketing and/or in consulting roles for professional services or software companies · 5 years of experience in working with various industries, such as Financial Services, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Automotive, Media & Entertainment, etc. with industry solutions experience · 7 years’ experience leading product or services management in a large-scale global organization · Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projects · Experience working with different internal and external stakeholders, including meeting facilitation skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · Master’s degree and/or MBA · Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills and the ability to define, measure, and communicate progress via metrics · Strong business acumen, technology understanding, analytical and collaboration skills · Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills · Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment · A willingness to dive deep, experiment rapidly and get things done · Ability to establish cross functional, collaborative relationships · Ability to analyze data to find trends and process gaps · Self-starter who can deliver high-quality results in an ambiguous and rapidly changing environment Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
