This is a mid-level ‘in the field’ role with room to grow. Candidate MUST reside in close proximity to Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. This is a REMOTE position, covering Northern California and the Pacific Northwest. Previous sales experience not necessary. We are looking for a candidate with strong background in workers’ compensation or liability claims WHO WE ARE: MEDVAL is an industry leader, providing innovative Medicare Secondary Payer compliance solutions. From Medicare Set-Aside (MSA) evaluations to structured settlements to the administration of MSA funds, MEDVAL serves attorneys, carriers, and TPAs seeking a better MSP compliance process for personal injury and workers’ compensation claims. WHO YOU ARE: Candidates should possess excellent customer service skills, have a background in Workers’ Compensation and/or Liability claims, work well both independently and as part of a team, and be willing and able to travel extensively. WHAT YOU’LL DO: The Northern California Territory Manager provides top tier customer service to existing clients within the territory, including scheduling trainings, and performing file pick-ups, as needed. This individual improves market presence through on-site client visits, cross-selling, and achieving revenue target goals. This position is a combination of business development and an account manager position with approximately 70% of time focused on business development and 30% focused on account management. This position requires routine travel which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverage are a requirement of this position. Develop new business in assigned regional area Communicates effectively with clients, secures upper level management meetings for sales executives as appropriate Develops and maintains high level positive relationships within all assigned accounts Works independently to keep abreast of technical Medicare Secondary Payer statutes, compliance requirements, and changes Acts as a liaison for client inquiries and technical questions Collaborates actively with the Sales and Marketing team in developing and distributing promotional material Travels regularly to meet with potential and existing customers, provide educational presentations, exhibit at industry events, and attend professional association meetings Provides referral pick up/copy services and overall customer service in an effort to gain more depth into existing accounts Achieves or exceeds revenue and/ or referral goals Sensitivity to confidential matters is required Works as an effective team member, coordinating with others and contributing to the overall success of the Company Maintains cooperative and effective workplace relationships and adheres to company Code of Conduct Performs other duties as assigned Required Skills WHAT YOU’LL NEED: Minimum High School Diploma (required) Minimum 3 years Worker’s Compensation or Liability industry related experience Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite with intermediate skills in Excel Exceptional professional face to face and telephone demeanor Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Possess their own vehicle and insurance (required) Current and valid driver’s license with clean driving record (required) Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) Working knowledge of Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) Statute (preferred) PERKS OF THE JOB: Excellent growth and advancement opportunities Competitive pay based on experience Paid time off Generous benefits package: health, dental, vision, 401(k), EAP, FSA, life, etc. MEDVAL is an equal opportunity employer.
